Concrete aims
Conscious of the necessity to promote the sense of European citizenship through mutual knowledge ,acquaintance and respect between all European countries, of the importance school education assumes in this context from primary to secondary level and the imprinting pupils receive from teachers and schoolbooks, the project partners propose RESEARCHES about our current SCHOOLBOOKS (national languages and literatures, World literature, History, Geography, Civic Education, Art, Economics and Busines)
- in what occasion /contexts do they deal with Europe and our European partners
- how do they deal with those issues (positively and negatively )
- what ideas/images/stereotypes about European nations and "national characters" do they present
- how and in what context do they offer a global approach to Europe and the European dimension in education
- how should we correct our schoolbooks, how could we make them better ?
Activities
- continuous contacts by e-mail, chat-rooms, web site
- surveys carried out among pupils and teachers about Europe and European partners (drawing, games,questionnaires acording to the pupils age level )
- continuous exchange of information and experiences through the commun web site
- continuous documentation and evaluation of the project work on the common web site
- analysis of our school material (school books and other )
- writing articles and research summaries to be shared with the other partners
- writing an annual common paper of the project results
- periodical project meetings of the staff
- exhibition of project results
